Terms & Conditions

Terms and conditions – Updated 18th March 2025

This is an agreement which sets out the terms and conditions that will govern the relationship between us, The Drama Centre and you the Parent/Guardian. It is a legally binding agreement. Please read carefully as these rules enable us at The Drama Centre to maintain high standards and the safety of our students and staff.

Refunds will only be granted at the discretion of the company. Stripe and Class for Kids, our finance and booking third party systems take a processing fee of 1.5% + 20p and 3.1% so we cannot refund the external processing fees.

  • Half a term’s notice period is required if you or your child wishes to leave The Drama Centre. This must be submitted in writing or email. You will be required to pay for the remaining dates for the half a term’s notice. Failure to do this will result in legal action.
  • Please do not cancel your Direct Debit, this will be done for you. Failure to adhere to this will result in an admin charge of £20 will be issued as well as the remaining amount owed.
  • On enrolling for classes, you may be charged a 'covering fee' for classes if you join after 1st of the month, the covering charge will be added to the first months payment to cover classes attended that month.
  • You will automatically be charged for a t-shirt which all students attending The Drama Centre clubs must wear to classes (excluding lunchtime / in school clubs and adult classes). We will contact you to request the size you would like.

  • The Drama Centre has the right to remove any student from class if the student is putting the health and safety of other students or staff at risk. We reserve the right in this instance, to permanently exclude students.
  • We also will not tolerate rudeness, bullying, deemed harassment, abuse or inappropriate behaviour or inappropriate language from students, parents or guests. Such actions will result in exclusion from The Drama Centre.
  • Excluded students will still be liable to pay the full class fees

  • Class fees 'per subscription' are to be paid via monthly subscription
  • in School classes are to be paid in full per term.
  • Failure to pay fees by the date stated will result removal from the class. Any fees outstanding after attempts at communication have failed, will be legally pursued.
  • If joining later in the month or are late signing up - we will adjust the first subscription payment with a covering charge to make sure you have covered all payments required. E.g. if your subscription is £49.99 a month and you sign up after 1st of that month - a cover charge will be applied to the first payment then revert back to the normal charge.
  • All subscriptions are paid across 12 months of the year (including August when monthly classes are not running - because we have calculated and spread the cost over 12 months, 40 weeks of the year when we are open, for example each class is £13.20 a week - multiplied by 40 weeks a year, divided by 12 months equals £44 a month, therefore customers pay the equivalent of £11 a week rather than £13.20 - spreading the cost over 12 months). The subscription is calculated to make sure customers pay the same monthly amount every month.

Late fee payments will be charged as well as an admin charge for cancelling subscriptions without serving the required notice period.

  • If your child is unable to attend class, you must let us know as soon as possible on 07396712781/ info@thedramacentre.co.uk. Missed classes will not be reimbursed. In the unlikely event of The Drama Centre cancelling classes, we will endeavour to reschedule.
  • Please arrive on time for lessons. Lateness will not be tolerated and consistent lateness will be escalated to the Director of The Drama Centre.
  • After registration, it is important all parents leave their child with the teachers at The Drama Centre, no parents are permitted to sit in or attend lessons.
  • If students are consistently absent we have the right to issue a warning and escalate, if this continues The Drama Centre has the right to ask students to leave The Drama Centre as we need commitment from all students for the wellbeing of their fellow classmates.
